Live longer…except for in the U.S.

Had a minute of hope eh? Thought that finally, we might be making health progress. Live Longer, except for in the U.S. encompasses a lot of us. It scares me to think that all of the other countries STILL know something that we don’t know,

What we know is ease. We know how to order takeout, buy packaged food, watch TV and video games, and make doctors appointments to get medication. It’s so sad to see the amount of people that are obese and ill.

When you look at the disease rate in the U.S., there is a direct correlation to the obesity rate. I am sure that you are either concerned with your weight, have tried to lose weight, or, have always been one of the few that maintain and care about your weight.

Instead of eating nutrient dense foods and moving our bodies, we are more sedentary and eat more fast food than ever. Look around you. What percentage of people look fit, happy, lean and strong? Less than 10% is my guess.

Depending on where you live, the amount of people that smoke, or even care about what they put into their bodies will be different. Socioeconomic class, race, gender and age have something to do with health. But this is what I believe.

Unless you are living under a rock. Smoking, packaged foods, never eating fruits or vegetables and not moving, are the leading cause of obesity…and death.

Cancer is on the rise. Not surprising to me at all. When I look into shopping carts I feel like people are “inviting” disease.

It’s time to STOP thinking tomorrow will be the day you take control of your health. Live longer, starting today…this means acting on how to do it, and why you need to.
