Optimize Energy Levels, Lose Weight

Posted: November 26, 2018

When it comes to weight loss, most people forget that cutting out food groups and cutting calories leads to less energy. In a perfect scenario, you’d optimize energy levels, lose weight AND feel like it was a sustainable plan.

We are so consumed as a society in “named diets.” Instead of obsessing about removing foods I want to give you a way to not only lose weight BUT, to optimize energy levels and shift the way you think.

I have a line that my girls that I coach hear me say often. “You can’t change your life, or your body until you change your mind”.

Your relationship with food is like every other emotion. There because you keep on “feeding it”. HA HA…pun intended!

What if you started telling yourself that instead of cutting out calories and food groups, you’re going to start a trend of adding foods?

Think about this.

We are overfed with the wrong foods and missing out on what our body needs.

We need more fiber. We need more protein. What about adding in oats, and nuts and seeds. How about vegetables like artichokes, asparagus, cauliflower and broccoli? What about nutrient dense foods that keep you full, as in berries, eggs, sweet potatoes, squash, avocados, spinach and coconut oils?

Have you eaten any of those in the last few days?

When you change your relationship with food and think of it as a healthy and exciting part of how your body feels, moves and looks….then your body shape and weight will change.

Today is the day to shift the way you think about your diet. Starting right now…think of what you can add to your plate, your meals and how you think so that you can optimize energy levels, lose weight and feel great!

P.s. I love to say that I don’t follow a diet with a name on it because it doesn’t have MY name on it!
