Perfect Daily Cleanse

Posted: July 31, 2017

Our bodies are bombarded with toxins on a daily basis. From the food we eat, the soil it is grown in, the air we breathe and what we put on our skin. Cleansing and detoxifying has been around for centuries. So how do you know what the perfect daily cleanse is? It depends on your lifestyle and how bogged down your systems are.

If you are on medications, eat poorly and don’t exercise, you really need to change your lifestyle. By adding in nutrient dense foods and short but effective exercises, you can make your body function more efficiently. Even if you think you are too tired to work out. If you are already following a plan of good daily practices, eat a nutrient dense diet, and have an active lifestyle, but still want to boost your metabolic rate, drop a few pounds and feel revived, then the 1 day plan below is a great start. This perfect daily cleanse can be used if you are going on vacation (or just got back!), or if you have an event coming up and are feeling a little bloated.

It can also be used as a weekly ritual, to keep your digestive system running smoothly, and your energy levels up as you naturally cleanse your body with simple steps.

  1. Upon waking. Drink the juice of one whole lemon, with 1 TBSP. shaved ginger root. (adding 2 TBSP of apple cider vinegar will boost the powers of this…if you can stand the taste haha)

This will prime your digestive tract with enzymes that benefit energy levels, gut health and alkalinity.

2. Start with a healthy and vitality boosting smoothie.

In a blender add:

1 1/2 Cups water

1 Bunch spinach

1 cored and peeled, granny smith apple.

1 peeled kiwi

1/4 cup blueberries

1 TBSP chia seeds.

Blend and drink!

3. Throughout the day, drink at least 8 – 8 oz. glasses of spring water. You can add sliced cucumber or lemon.

Spring water has minerals that we are missing. Purified water is great, but don’t forget to add in spring water.

4. Eat 2-3 Meals throughout the day, with 3-4 hours between meals consisting of:

6 oz. grass fed beef, chicken or wild caught fish.

3 cups mixed greens. Spinach & Kale with 1 clove garlic mashed, sautéed in 1 TBSP. ghee (clarified butter)

Greens salad with 2 cups mixed organic greens/ sliced cucumbers, radishes, julienned carrots, baby organic tomatoes (add any other raw veggies) . Drizzle with 2 Tbsp. organic olive oil, and the juice of one lemon.

5. Do some form of exercise that makes you sweat!

Take a very brisk 30 minute walk, or do a session of your choice of strength training, yoga or anything that gets your body sweaty. This stimulates digestion, your cardiovascular system and elimination. (most people that live sedentary lives, have constipation issues…that also goes with people that don’t eat enough fibrous green veggies!)

And, last but not least…prepare for a good nights sleep by turning off all tech devices 45 minutes before you crawl into a very dark room, with very comfy sheets (we only sleep on organic bamboo sheets which are divine!) and get a solid 7 hours of rest.

This is how your body will repair and replenish every system in your body with a perfect daily cleanse that doesn’t involve starving or magic potions, but real food. Use this daily plan every week and see how much better you will look and feel when you rid your body of foods that age and slow you down.
