Age-Related Muscle Loss in Women

Posted: February 22, 2021

As women age, they lose about 8% of muscle mass per decade after the age of 30. This age-related muscle loss in women is responsible for many negative things associated with aging. However, the great news is that it is preventable!

Dieting throughout a woman’s life, creates the foundation of muscle loss from too few calories and usually, too much cardio. When women gain weight, they focus on the number on the scale being lower, instead of gaining metabolism boosting new muscle.

Sadly, this loss of muscle keeps happening unless they are savvy enough to know how to keep the weight off…and the muscle on!

We used to think we had to spend hours in the gym, lifting weights every day.

Now, research shows that even the slightest addition of muscle can increase your resting metabolic rate.

This is a fantastic scenario as when you have more muscle, you not only move better and look better – you can eat more to maintain the same weight!

In the 7 Minute Ageless Body Secret program that I created 5 years ago, you can do the workouts at home. These follow-along workout videos will torch calories due to the order of the movement patterns.
They can also be done by beginners and advanced exercisers.
