FAT LOSS RESOLUTIONS FOR THE NEW YEAR

Posted: December 4, 2012

Happy New Year!

Well, almost. So, are you already planning the big resolution? Are you resolving one more time to lose fat in the next year, once and for all? Is this the first time you are resolving to take better care of your body, get rid of body fat, and commit to fitness? Probably not. Most of you have made that resolution every year. So, how does one cross the line, and REALLY commit to a completely different lifestyle of fat loss, and strength.  Well, for starters, you commit exactly to that. Fat loss, and getting stronger. Only way to lose fat is to change your diet. Only way to gain strength is to lift weights. Only way to make it stay, is to do both, and to start NOW.

Why wait til New Year’s Eve to commit to something you wished you were already doing? You are perfectly capable of making changes now. I know, the holidays are “so hard” to pay attention to your diet. The holidays are “so hard” to make it to the gym because of time restraints. Exactly why you still look and feel like you do. Excuses. Stop making them now.

You get up every day, and follow a ritual right? You wouldn’t leave the house without brushing your teeth. You wouldn’t drive to work naked. You wouldn’t go out to dinner, without any money. These are all ritualistic things that are SO part of your life that you don’t have to think about them. They are automatic. They are almost on auto-pilot. So, imagine if you didn’t have to think about setting the alarm a bit early just to go to the gym. Imagine if you got up, and you had set up the blender in the fridge, ready to blend your breakfast power shake, and it was waiting for you in the morning. Imagine if you went out to lunch, said “no thanks” to the bread basket, ordered a salad, dressing on the side, and fish with veggies, or burger with no bun. All automatically. All because that is how you live. All because it feels great to look AND feel good.

That is what mindfull healthy living is like. Fat loss resolutions start with being mindful of the possibilities that you can create for yourself. The New Year is the time to re-invent yourself. Let’s make this simple.

You are able to change.
You have time to exercise.
You can make healthy choices with food.

You are looking forward to an energized, healthy year, while you are losing last years weight.
