Are you prepared for fall season? Sure, you made it through summer without neglecting your exercise routine, but how are you doing now that the weather is colder outside? If you are like most people, you get to the door and feel the cold brisk air and turn around and go back inside. If this is a common occurrence with you, you may need a back-up plan on those days when outdoor exercise is not possible. Consider how these exercises may help you in your quest to remain fit during the autumn.
Try Out These Outdoor Exercises
Underhand Grip Rear Lateral Raise: If you need to work on your upper back and rear shoulders, the underhand grip rear lateral raise may be the exercise for you. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart, and the knees should be slightly bent. The upper body should descend towards the floor until it is perpendicular with the lower body. Your straight arms should be raised to the side until it forms a “T.” The dumbbells should be lowered to the original position.
Dumbbell Row: If you need work on your back and biceps, try the dumbbell row. Start the exercise with the feet shoulder-width apart and the knees slightly bent. The upper body should be at a 90-degree angle. At the start of the exercise, the arms should hang down to the side. The next motion requires bending the arms at the elbow until the arm is in line with the body. Also, press the shoulder blades together during the exercise. The exercise should be repeated until all of the repetitions are complete.
Swiss Ball Dumbbell Chest Press:If you need to tone the abdominals, chest, triceps, hips and shoulders, try the Swiss Ball Dumbbell Chest Press. Start the exercise with dumbbells in your hand. Raise the hips towards the sky until the body from the shoulders to knees is in a straight line. The lower part of the legs should be perpendicular to the body. The dumbbells should extend over the body. During the extension, the palms should face outward, and the arms should be straight. At the end of the exercise, the dumbbells should be in the original position.
Try These Indoor Exercises When You Are Not Motivated
When it’s cold outside, most people are not in the mood to go outside. This is why many people have home gyms.  Popular home gym equipment includes treadmills and ellipticals. Home gym equipment is just what you need to remain motivated during the autumn season. When it’s cold, go to your exercise room and go through the motions until you are in the mood. This ensures that you don’t neglect your exercise regimen because of the weather.
Stay Motivated Despite the Weather
If you want to age well and maintain good health, fitness is important. Experts recommend 30 minutes of exercise per day for five to seven days per week. The more you exercise, the better off you will be. Exercise and have a plan no matter what the weather is like.
