With kettlebells, your own bodyweight and a jump rope, you can have what I refer to a workout blitz! I get asked all the time, “how much time do you spend in the gym?”. I pretty much give the same answer to all. “It is not about how much time, but what you spend your time doing.” I spend my time doing things that get the muscles aching, the heart rate up, and my body sweating! Moves that produce results. Intensity is the idea for me. I get bored easily, and so do most people from what I hear. That is why most people stop going to their gyms. Bored. Tired of the same machines. Tired of not getting results…you know what I mean.
Time to do a workout that will make a difference. Grab a kettlebell, (I use the 16k), a jump rope, a timer (gymboss.com is an awesome one, or use the timer on your smart phone) and some fast paced music, and you are ready to go!
The warm up is built in, so just set your timer for intervals of 30 Seconds on/30 seconds rest….
30 on / 30 off Simple. Intense.

This entire workout will take less than 20 minutes. As you get more conditioned, you can set the timer for more working time, and less rest, or play around and see other ways to challenge your body. One great way to amp this up, is to skip the bodyweight squats, and just do Kettlebell swings, Push ups, and Jump Rope in the same intervals of 30 on/30 off. Kettlebells work your entire body, so this is more challenging than with the addition of push ups.
Have fun working out. Challenge yourself, your mind, AND of course your fitness levels.
In health and strength!
