Paleo Friendly Gluten Free Fat Loss Meals

Posted: September 4, 2016

Paleo friendly? Are you wondering what that means? Well, for me, it means that I don’t follow any named diet 100%. I however do follow Paleo friendly and “nearly” gluten free for energy, for fat loss and to stay healthy inside.

I am a realist. I know that it is nearly impossible as a gym owner and with my crazy schedule to prepare every meal from scratch. Besides, I am a social butterfly and love to eat out, and to hang out with friends, and that usually means not knowing exactly what is in everything I eat. So, that’s fine.

I don’t eat conventional bread but I do eat Ezekiel. This is a sprouted grain bread that is lower in carbs and is considered a complete food as it has protein, carbs and fats in it.

I do eat sweet potatoes and some white potatoes once in a while. I eat brown rice, and quinoa.

I read labels and know almost all of the time what I put into my body. Like I said, the key is Paleo friendly. I buy grass fed protein from beef to my protein powders and I use grass fed butter in my free range eggs.

If you want to cut back on the things keeping you fat, you need to limit or eliminate things in your diet that have labels for starters.

Stick to single ingredient foods or foods that have labels that say grass fed, pasture raised, free range on them.

Use healthy fats for cooking as in Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil and Olive Oil and don’t forget that coconut oil is a great moisturizer for skin, hair and freshly shaven legs!

I understand that there is a LOT of information out there that makes you overwhelmed with decisions. So, the best approach is to keep it simple.

Eat foods without a label first. Vegetables and Fruits that are organic are best, free from pesticides and hormones.

Animal protein should be grass fed, pasture raised.

Fats from healthy sources.

Cut back on, or eliminate anything that your body recognizes as sugar. Especially that fake ones, Stay away, that is a sure way to disrupt your hormones, and put a hold on any weight loss that you are thinking will happen.

Most of all, enjoy the foods you eat. Experiment with spices, herbs and ways of cooking. Be adventurous!
