- As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass due to sedentary living. This accounts for a flabbier body and a slower metabolic rate.
- Most women go on a diet and do some cardio when the pounds add up. This also contributed to muscle loss, and again, a slower metabolism.
- In order to boost a sluggish metabolic rate, you must add lean muscle tissue, and eat to support energy levels and muscular growth.
Ladies, this does not mean you need to live in a gym, or lift heavy weights. Although, the bigger the muscles on your body, the more calories you’ll burn at rest.
