Aging. Ugh. What a never ending issue that is in the back our or minds..(or forefront for some!) Aging. Illness. Money. Retirement. Energy levels, or not having them. Hormones. They all lead back to the same issue that worries us all, the FEAR of aging.

I am not worried about it. I have a plan. One that I have used for over 25 years. It involves mindful eating (no, not strict dieting) and exercise…(no, not hours in the gym).

Actually, hours in the gym as you get older can actually age you faster if you aren’t eating the right foods to recover. You want to be stronger and leaner with better balance AND more youthful.

20 minutes. 20 minutes that get your heart rate up, your muscles engaged, and your metabolic rate cranked up high for up to 36 hours.

Warm Up

20 Jumping Jacks
10 Bodyweight Squats
10 Alternating Stationary Lunges
10 Side to Side Lunges
5 Push Ups
10 Hip  Bridges (lay on back, knees bent, push hips up towards ceiling)
5 Forward, 5 Backward Shoulder Circles

Workout

Tools- Bodyweight/Timer

 

25 Jumping Jacks
5 Push Ups
10 Bodyweight Squats
10 Side to Side Lunges

 

Rest 30 seconds

 

25 Jumping Jacks
5 Push Ups
10 Bodyweight Squats
10 Alternating Lunges

 

Rest  30 seconds

 

25 Jumping Jacks
5 Push Ups
10 Walking Lunges
10 Bodyweight Squats

 

Rest  30 seconds

 

25 Jumping Jacks
5 Push Ups
10 Alternating Lunges
10 Backwards Lunges

 

Rest 1 Minute

 

Repeat 2 X
