Why Paleo? Why Your Body Will Love It!

Paleo. Hmmm, If you don’t know anything about The Paleo diet, then you most likely are scratching your head and picturing a Neanderthal Man…well, at least that’s what I did when I heard of it.
If you read my emails, then you know that I have never followed a diet with a name. AND, I “kind of” still don’t. However, I do follow pretty close to a Paleo “style” of eating, and I will tell you a little bit about it, and why.
First of all, chronic inflammation is on the rise. We die from inflammation of either the brain, the heart, the liver, the kidneys, the skin or from chronic inflammation that causes pain, and deterioration to our bodies.
We eat either a pro-inflammatory diet of processed foods, sugar, pesticides and hormonally laden foods and simple carbs…
OR,
we eat an anti-inflammatory diet of grass fed and pasture raised animal protein, vegetables and fruits (preferably organic) and a moderate amount of healthy fats.
I follow the anti-inflammatory diet. The Paleo Diet is an anti-inflammatory diet that doesn’t contain dairy, wheat, grains or added sugar.
Do I follow it 100% every day? To be honest no.
However, I DO follow it about 85% of the time.

Our gym is in week 3 of a Paleo Diet Challenge.
We have a private Facebook group for support. And we have 34 people including myself and my husband following it.
EVERY person that is on this challenge has lost weight. Inches, and body fat.
Every one except me ha ha. As I said, I was already following it pretty closely, and I am at a decent weight and don’t really need to lose any weight, so my body is “happy” with where it is, and that is fine.
Now on the other hand…a lot of our members (especially the women) want to, and need to lose some weight. Most of the women fall into the 40% body fat percentage and have either belly fat (the fat associated with disease) or just the extra pounds that make them not like the way they look.
There is a site that I have followed for a while that is one of the first to explain Paleo. Why Paelo. Why it might work for you. AND…that has products, cookbooks, supplements and tools that might work for you.
I love the chocolate almond bars, the Primal Fuel Protein Powder, the dressings the recipes AND a few of the supplements.
I want to keep my inflammation down and my energy levels up. I want to keep chronic pain, disease, and processed foods completely out of my life, and coach people to live with the same ideas for their bodies.
Single ingredient foods are what I eat.
Grass fed and minimally processed meats. Free range eggs. Tons of organic vegetables, and stews, saute’s and soups. Healthy fats like coconut oil, walnut oil, and almonds.
