How to Re-Shape Your Body after 40

If you are female and getting close to mid-life, then you know, it’s getting harder and harder to feel, move or look good. I’m going to give you all of the tools you need today. The first one will be How to Re-Shape your Body after 40.

The struggle is real. But it’s only real because most women have done things that “break” their metabolisms.

You may have cut calories and lost muscle, which leads to a slower metabolic rate. The other thing you may be doing is walking. Walking is good for peace of mind, and if you need time to yourself. But, let me tell you this. Walking for an hour or more, will not reshape your body.

In order to reshape your body and see tone, and less bodyfat, you must do these two things.

  1. Eat protein to support the growth of muscle, and prevent its loss.
  2. Build lean muscle tissue with specific movement patterns.

These two factors keep you leaner looking, will help you raise your metabolic rate, and will burn calories instead of storing them. This is the ONLY method that you need to pay attention to if you want to reshape your body and look fitter, and younger.

As we age, we lose muscle. This is the main factor that leads us to get flabbier and start to put on weight. Sedentary lives, hormones, and poor diets are to blame for your shape, not just your age.

As a gym owner, and women’s coach, I see women make the same mistakes over and over. They cut too many calories, and end up binging. Or, they join a gym and never go. Some of them do both and end up miserable.

Here is a fact. When you cut out calories…sure, you’ll lose a little bit of weight. On the scale that is. What the scale does NOT tell you is that you lost muscle. Muscle is the ONLY tissue on your body that will keep you tight, firm and youthful, without following trendy diets. So right now I beg you to forget the scale.
