Age related weight gain? Actually, there is no such thing. I know…you are shaking your head in disagreement right?
Let me tell you why age has nothing to do with weight gain..and enlighten you as to how you can get rid of the extra pounds, and keep them off.
I did an interview with Dr. Dan Ritchie of the Functional Aging Institute in Indiana yesterday. We spoke on Skype about why so many women gain weight around their hips, bellies and back as they age, and think that they are doomed to keeping on that weight. I want to share with you, (as a woman that just turned 57!) why age has nothing to do with it, and, how to get rid of those extra pounds and feel amazing!
First of all, there are 3 reasons you have those extra rolls that are making your clothes fit too tight and making you look older.
- Sedentary lifestyle.
- Lack of muscle on your body, that means a slower metabolic rate.
- Poor food choices, too much sugar and not enough healthy “superfoods’ that support weight loss.
There is actually an easy route to a lean and firm body, that doesn’t involve cardio, and doesn’t involve a strict diet. Actually, those 2 things make your weight loss nearly impossible and will slow down your metabolic rate, instead of making it faster.
There is actually something called the “afterburn”. That is when you turn your body into a fat burning machine , instead of a fat storing machine that it currently is. So, age related weight gain will be something that you get rid of, and never have to worry about once you learn how to shift your body into this state.
