Who doesn’t love to wake up on a cold Sunday morning to the smell of pancakes? And what if those pancakes were healthy chocolate-chip protein pancakes that helped you stay lean and energized?
I just found a recipe that I made today and it has everything you need to stay energized, lean, and is PACKED with superfood protein. Protein to prevent muscle wasting and keep you full. And, ealthy fats, fiber, and super nutrients that your body needs to stay strong.
These pancakes are so delicious, that even the pickiest eaters and even kids will not know they have ingredients that your body craves…not the junk that you find in most packages of pancake mix!
One of the best things I find as a fitness professional is being able to eat foods that taste amazing, bust cravings, and support my goals.
So not only do you get your cravings satisfied…you’ll also love that these are “no-guilt” and can be eaten as a breakfast, or make a great post-workout snack that keeps you on track to your wellness, and fitness goals!
2 scoops Rootz Protein-Superfood (it makes a great smoothie, but is fantastic in these!)
½ cup Almond Milk
¼ cup Maple Syrup
1 tsp Baking soda
*3 tbsp. cacao nibs, 2 slices cooked bacon bits
- Mix above ingredients in blender
- Place pancake mix on heated pan or griddle
- Add crispy bacon bits and cacao nibs to the pancakes on the griddle
- Flip after 3-4 minutes each side
- add any other toppings of your choice, and enjoy!
Serve these up topped with bananas for a killer post-workout meal. Or, simply start a morning on a day that you’ll be active with this hearty healthy breakfast to boost energy levels, and keep you full for hours!
