How many vegetables do we really need?

The biggest issue with today’s diet is the LACK of fresh produce and the abundance of processed toxic foods that are loaded with chemicals and sugar. We are lacking what we need to live long and ward off disease…and we need to focus on preventing weight gain. So how many vegetables do we really need you may ask?

Vegetables are medicine.

Beautiful, tasty, easy to find, foods from nature that will give you benefits. From the beautiful color and smell of a just-picked garden tomato to the bright green color of some steamed broccoli…veggies are simple and you need them daily. 

But how many veggies do we really need? And… what are the best options? 

Vegetables are an important part of healthy eating and provide a source of many nutrients, including potassium, fiber, folate (folic acid) and vitamins A, E, and C. 

Something by the way, that most of us are missing! 

You can grow them or get them from the farmers market for the best can purchase them from the grocery store and do just fine.

SUPERFOODS are my favorite foods to eat. 

It actually feels mentally powerful to look down at your plate and feel great about what you are putting into your body! 

According to the United States, Department of Agriculture here are the guidelines of how many vegetables you need daily.


19-30 years old2 ½ cups
31-50 years old2 ½ cups
