The biggest issue with today’s diet is the LACK of fresh produce combined with the abundance of processed toxic foods that are loaded with chemicals and sugar. Instead of a diet that asks “how many calories did I burn,” we should ask “how many veggies do I need to eat” to be healthy.
We are lacking what we need to ward off disease… and we need to focus on preventing weight gain so that we can move freely while warding off obesity-related health issues such as in diabetes, and heart disease.
Not to mention, with added weight gain, comes surgeries from bad knees, and medications that combat pain.
Vegetables are medicine. And organic vegetables and fruits have literally been studied to ward off cancer and even to KILL of certain cancer cells.
From the beautiful color and smell of a just-picked garden tomato to the bright green color of some steamed broccoli…veggies are simple and you need them daily.
So, how many veggies do I need to eat? And… what are the best options?
Vegetables are an important part of healthy eating and provide a source of many nutrients, including potassium, fiber, folate (folic acid), and vitamins A, E, and C.
Something by the way that most of us are missing a lot of!
You can grow them or get them from the farmers market for the best option..you can purchase them from the grocery store and do just fine.
These superfoods are best when organic and SUPERFOODS are my favorite foods to eat.
It actually feels mentally powerful to look down at your plate and feel great about what you are putting into your body!
According to the United States Department of Agriculture here is the guidelines of how many vegetables you need daily.
