Once we hit 40, our bodies start to change. This shift in our hormones can cause weight gain, excess flab around your middle and a loss of energy. Most women dread looking in the mirror after a shower, and feel like their best years are behind them. This is nonsense! Raising your metabolism after 40 is just as easy as if you were 30!

Most women spend time focusing on dieting and doing cardio when they don’t like what they see. If you are over 40, then you’ve most likely caused your metabolic rate to come to a screeching halt. This happens from cutting out too many calories, skipping meals, and lacking muscle.
The reason men can lose weight so quickly is because they naturally have more muscle on their frames. More muscle means a metabolic rate that burns calories even while they are watching Netflix and sleeping!
When I was in my 30’s I started to gain weight. So, I did what all my friends were doing. I cut out meals. Then I joined a gym so I could do back to back aerobic classes. What do you think happened? Do you think I got slimmer, leaner and felt better?
Not even close.
What happened was I burnt out my adrenals. My thyroid levels went crazy and I actually put on more pounds and felt miserable!
At 60 now, I rock out a bikini and am guessed to be about 10 years younger than my age! Is this because I have some great genetics? Of course not! This is because I shifted how I lived with my diet and exercise program and literally work out 1/4 of the time that I used to!
