Muscle is the only tissue that is metabolically active, and the less you have of it, the slower your resting metabolic rate will be. So, building muscle, and preventing it’s loss is a key to lasting weight loss. Besides, thinking of weight loss constantly is a negative battle.

Benefits that will supply fiber to shuttle impurities out quickly. Vitamins and minerals that will supply energy. And, nutrients that help to balance hormones so that your body burns calories instead of storing them.
One huge factor in preventing age-related muscle loss is to eat enough protein. The other component is to exercise in a manner that you are challenging your larges muscle groups in your body, and then feeding them to rebuild and repair.
