What the Top Fitness Pro’s Practice Daily

Hey Friends,

I just came from one of the most mind blowing, inspiring and motivating events in my life. The 2015 Fitness Business Summit in Costa Mesa California. There were over 650 fitness enthusiasts and over 12 Key note speakers.

These speakers were passionate and fit, and engaged every single ear, heart and mind as they spoke of the hurdles that they had come across in their personal and professional lives. They spoke of how it is up to us to lead the masses to healing, and overall wellness.

The bottom line of the entire weekend was that YOU ARE GOING TO FALL AND HAVE HURDLES TO OVERCOME. WE ALL DO. WHAT MATTERS MOST IS HOW QUICKLY YOU GET BACK UP, FEEL GRATEFUL FOR  WHAT YOU HAVE, AND NEVER GIVE UP!

I AM HERE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

I understand that life throws you curve balls. Hell, my son was home for 3 days on Spring Break and totaled my husbands 13 day old car, breaking his hand and ending up luckily with only some minor neck pain and walked away ok. Hard to believe when you saw how horrific the car looked.

Two days later I used the wrong ball in our gym, demonstrating a “ball slam” that should have been done with a sand filled ball that doesn’t bounce…Yeah, you guessed it. One more trip to the ER with what I was for sure was a broke nose. Once again luckily for me it was just very painful and ugly for 2 weeks!

I kept both my son’s injuries and mine calmed down with ice and Arnica cream to ease the pain and swelling…not to mention the bruising. We took extra turmeric that has anti-inflammatory properties (oh yeah, we both had whiplash!) and made sure that we got a lot of sleep to let our bodies heal. I also stopped and got us a large supply of fresh organic pressed juice from a local establishment to aid in our healing and we both drank a couple of extra organic whey based shakes for the week to get the tissue and muscles healing more quickly.

My point is not to make you feel sorry for us but to help you realize that since I am a fitness professional, I have many ways to help many people.Not just getting stronger and losing weight.

Healing, overall wellness and happiness is my first goal. When you have those, the rest just seems to follow.
